W3 Total Cache Help: Object Cache & CDN Done Right

W3 Total Cache is one of the most powerful caching plugins with separate modules for page cache, object cache, database cache, minify and CDN. This versatility makes it extremely capable but also error-prone when modules are combined wrongly. We configure W3TC to match your server, Redis or Memcached and CDN.

What's included

  • Page, object & database cache cleanly separated
  • Redis/Memcached connected correctly
  • Minify manual instead of risky auto mode
  • CDN with correct CNAME & purge
  • Only one active caching plugin

With W3 Total Cache the difficulty lies in combining the modules. The wrong page cache mode (disk vs. Redis), an enabled minify auto mode that merges CSS and JS, or an object cache without a running Redis/Memcached lead to white pages, broken layouts and errors in wp-admin. The database cache can hurt more than help on dynamic sites, and CDN settings with a wrong CNAME fail to deliver assets. On top come cache conflicts with WooCommerce and conflicts with other caching plugins running in parallel.

We clean up first: only one caching plugin, clear module selection. Then we enable page cache to match the server, object and database cache only with a working Redis or Memcached, and minify manually with tested exceptions instead of auto mode. We connect the CDN with the correct CNAME and purge rules, and set LazyLoad and browser cache headers for better Core Web Vitals. We exclude WooCommerce pages from cache. All at €79/h incl. VAT, remote and without subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Which cache mode should I use in W3TC?
It depends on the server: Disk Enhanced without Redis, or Redis/Memcached with a matching backend. We check your environment and pick the fastest stable mode.
Why do I get white pages after minify?
The auto minify mode merges CSS/JS incorrectly. We switch to manual minify and test each file so your layout stays intact.
Do I need Redis for the object cache?
For object and database cache you need a running Redis or Memcached. Without it the cache hurts more than it helps. We check and set it up correctly.
What does W3TC setup cost?
€79/h incl. VAT, fully remote and without subscription. You get a free quote upfront and only pay for the time actually needed.
